Bullion vans: APC challenges petitioners to come up with proof that Tinubu stole money

Following petition against Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, national leader of the The All Progressives Congress (APC), the Lagos chapter of the party has faulted the move.
        Reacting to the petition submitted to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) by activists on behalf of concerned Nigerians, the party said there is no evidence against Tinubu. Hon. Abiodun Salami, the APC spokesperson in Lagos, who spoke with Daily Trust, also challenged the petitioners to come up with proof that Tinubu had stolen any money. Going further, he added that Tinubu is a private citizen who had been out of government for the past 12 years. He also said that as a private citizen, Tinubu has the right to spend his money whichever way he wants it. In the past few weeks, The micro blogging app Twitter was on fire due to the chit chat challenge between Human right activist popularly known as SEGA and the the EFCC handler, The human rights activist called on EFCC to probe Tinubu over the reported sightings of Bullion vans seen entering his compound during the February general elections, Instead of going after suspected yahoo boys without any concrete evidence. But the EFCC handler replied that for the agency to do that, then a petition against Tinubu needs to be forwarded to them first. However, It was reported that a petition was forwarded to the EFCC by some activists over the weekend.
