Youth corps member returns 500k smartphone he picked along the road

A young man identified as Noble Chidera Akanwa, who is currently partaking in his one year National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) at Delta state, has been praised and rewarded for returning a phone he found on the road.
        According to the Facebook page ABN TV, the young man returned a phone worth N500,000 on the road in Delta state. The man was said to have picked up the phone on his way to his hostel. He returned the phone to the management of the NYSC in the state. The 2019 batch B corps member was praised that the orientation course at the camp in Issele-Uku, Aniocha North local government area. It was also gathered that the corps member will be rewarded with a one-month allowance bonus by the National Youth Service Corps. He was also given a letter of commendation on behalf of the corps by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa's representative, Patrick Muoboghare. Muoboghare said: “The differences between the people’s peculiar ways of life and the ones you are used to might be negligible. You have to assiduously learn to show understanding and adaptability as a way of justifying some of the reasons for the national service. Always remember that history will judge you based on the level of positive impact and contributions you record in the course of your service to fatherland.”
