Nigerian arrested in India with 200g heroin
The Police in Ludhiana, Punjab’s Khanna district, India have arrested a Nigerian drug peddler and recovered 200 gram of heroin from him. The accused, simply identified as Ezeke of Imo state, was arrested at a checkpoint on the national highway in Doraha on Thursday, July 25, Superintendent of police, Jasvir Singh confirmed. He was arrested from the bus stand side when the police stopped him for checking. The police seized 200g of heroin wrapped in a polythene bag from his possession. According to police officials, the estimated cost of the consignment in the international market is around Rs 1 crore. SSP, Khanna, Gursharandeep Singh said that the accused was booked under various sections of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act at Doraha police station.
