Four members of staff of the Osun State College of Technology, Esa-Oke, who were kidnapped on December 4 have been released.
Eight worker were initially abducted, after gunmen blocked the Esa-Oke Road leading to the campus at about 4:00 pm on Tuesday.
Three were released almost immediately while one other person died on the spot when he tried to resist being kidnapped.
The state's police command public relations officer, SP Folasade Odoro, confirmed the release of the victims -- who allege their captors were armed herdsmen.
Odoro said the victims were released early on Friday and have been reunited with their loved ones.
"The remaining four abducted staff of the college have been released and have been reunited with their families.
"Efforts are still ongoing to arrest the gunmen that kidnapped them and the police will not stop until the perpetrators are brought to justice," she said.
