Gunmen Attack Church in Anambra, leaving 15-50 people killed

According to Vanguard Ng, residents of Anambra woke up to news of one of the most gruesome attacks in recent times. Gunmen attacked a church in Odoekpe, Ogbaru Local Government Area on Sunday morning and as according to eye witnesses, upon their arrival, they turned off the Church's generating set and started shooting sporadically and they scanned through the members possibly in search of their targets.
In the aftermath of the attack, while Vanguard Ng confirms that about 35 were killed, other reports place the figure between 15-50. Many of the wounded were rushed to the nearby Evans Hospital as the community remains at a loss as to what really happened and the motive of the attackers.
The state Police commissioner has confirmed this story and also rules out suspicions that it is a terrorist attack.
