Boko Haram kill 8 people; raise flag in villages near Chibok

At least eight people were killed by Boko Haram insurgents in three villages near Chibok town in Borno State.
The terrorists attacked the villages- Kubirivour, Boftari and Kuburmbalah- and hoisted their flags afterwards.
According to residents, the insurgents who, after over-running them, slaughtered at least eight people, including a village elder, during the attack.
Others sources said the militants were still in control of Malam Fatori town, on the Nigeria-Niger border.
However, recall that the Nigerian Army, Tuesday, equally said it's  troops prosecuting the war on terror repelled attacks by the terrorists group in two Borno villages resulting in a gun fight that left most of the terrorists escaping with gunshot wound.
Giving details of the confrontation, Army Spokesman, Col Sani Usman said, "On Monday, at about 5.00pm suspected elements of Boko Haram terrorists, scavenging for food, attacked Kwang village and Vigilantes from Dagu (which is about 4 kilometres from Kwang), responded and repelled the terrorists attack.
"During the fire fight that ensued, one of the vigilantes sustained gunshot wound on his hand and was evacuated to General Hospital Uba while the terrorists fled with gunshot wounds."
