Yahaya Bello is plotting mass sack in Kogi- NLC

Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has been accused by the state chapter of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, of planning to reduce the state's workforce by 60 per cent.
This allegation was contained in Bulletin Number 13, issued by the Joint Negotiation Council of the workers in Lokoja.
The bulletin jointly issued by the NLC, the Trade  Union Congress and JPSNC, and signed by the Chairman of the state NLC, Onu Edoka, and the TUC Chairman, Ojo Matthew respectively, directed workers to continue to stay at home.
The bulletin alleges blackmail of labour union leaders by the Bello-administration, instead of making efforts to meet workers' legitimate demands.
According to the union leaders, "Government wanted to hide under the screening documents so that it can use our signatures for its illicit intention to lay off over 60 per cent of the workforce across the state."
In response however, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Strategy, Alhaji Abdukareem Abdumalik, stated that the allegation was "false".
