Boko Haram Launches Radio Station

Members of terrorist group, Boko Haram have reportedly launched a radio FM station to propagate their activities in Nigeria and other parts of Africa. According to a report on the Hausa service of the Voice of America which was aired yesterday June 15th.

According to the report, villagers living in the village of Tolkomari in the far north state of Cameroon said they tune to the station which spreads Boko Haram's propaganda challenging statements from the Nigerian government claiming that it is winning the war against the world's deadliest terrorist group.

The VoA report said the station broadcast programmes to counter media reports of victories by troops from Nigeria, Chad, Cameroon and Niger Republic against the militants. Efforts are being made by the "ŽCameroonian government to locate the radio station and dismantle it.
