NAS tasks Buhari on street children

The National Association of Seadogs, NAS, Pyrates Confraternity, has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to engage in an all inclusive government that caters and take responsibility for the life and well being of every Nigerian no matter their status.
 
Speaking at its annual feast of Barracuda aimed at brainstorming on burning contemporary issues with a view to articulating and canvassing solutions to challenges facing the country, in Abuja over the weekend, themed Change in Nigeria: Practical steps towards ensuring the survivability of the ordinary Nigerian, its guest speaker Prof Chidi Odinkalu in his good will message called on the citizenry to take responsibility for their actions and stop doing things that are detrimental to the progress of the nation.

Odinkalu commended the President in his fight against corruption and called on the citizenry to support him, he however stressed the need for him to fulfill his promise and declare his assets for the purpose of transparency.

He also lauded the efforts of the EFCC and SSS for ensuring that those that steal the nation's resources are brought to book.

In the same vane, Chido Onuma in his paper presentation called for state autonomy, and empowerment to function effectively and independently. He also called on Nigerians to rise up to the challenges of nation building. He beckoned to the presidency to indulge in positive and credible change, calling to mind the need to fight all forms of conformist degradation impeding to socio economic and political development, and equity in alleviating the plight of the average Nigerian.
 
Earlier in his welcome address the chief host Uzo Agu, Cap'n Sahara Deck, made a clarion call for an egalitarian society where every citizen will be guaranteed equitable prosperity and decent condition of existence, stressing the relevance of NAS in fighting all forms of conformist degradation impending to national development.
