DR Congo Ebola Outbreak: 19 killed in five days, taking death toll to 241

DR Congo's health ministry have says the Ebola outbreak, which began an August 1, claimed another 19 lives in a space of five days taking the number of people killed by the virus to 241.
The ministry said it had recorded a total of 421 cases — 374 of them confirmed, and another 47 probable with 74 suspected cases are under investigation.
Efforts to combat the spread of the virus centred around the restive eastern city of Beni in North Kivu, have been severely impeded by conflicts in the region.
The country also has an upcoming presidential election on December 23, to choose President Joseph Kabila successor.
