Nigerians react as 118-year-old woman becomes special adviser to Kolga LGA vice chairman in Bayelsa state
According to reports going round, A local government vice chairman in Bayelsa state has reportedly appointed a 118-year-old woman as his special adviser. The Kolga Kolokuma/Opokuma local government vice chairman appointed the woman in a letter sent to her. The beautiful elderly woman identified as Omonigbalebo Dani Orogono was given her provisional appointment letter signed by the vice chairman's personal assistant Bedford Ineye. Nigerians have now taken to social media to react to the appointment story on the popular micro-blogging platform, Twitter, after it was shared by a popular user identified as Gidi Traffic. Gidi Traffic shared the news with a photo of the 118-year-old woman and a photo of the appointment letter. In the letter, the vice chairman noted that she would be appointed as special adviser on elders matters. It was also stated that her appointment is with immediate effect. The vice chairman also congratulated her on the appointment in the provisional appointment letter.

“Special Advisers” are for “specialists/experts” in the given area so a Geriatric expert would’ve been more appropriate for the position
