In what could be described as an unusual show of support, the wife of the vice president of Malawi has gotten members of the online community talking, after releasing a rap campaign video in support of her husband’s political ambition.
        The doting wife identified as Mary Nkhamanyachi Chilima, took the internet by surprise with the release of the campaign video for her husband, Saulos Chilima, who is the current vice president of Malawi and is contesting to become the next president of the country. In her video, Chilima made an attempt to influence youths in the country to vote the UTM political party, the party on whose platform her husband is running in the upcoming elections. It was gathered that her decision to go through the unconventional campaign approach was influenced by the fact that 70% of the country’s population is under the age of 30, as such, it is her hope that the approach will boost voter turnout come May 21. The video which thrilled internet users has gotten a lot of people making the suggestion that she should consider pursuing a career in the music industry.
