Police Nab 2 kidnap suspects in Bauchi

The Police in Bauchi State have arrested members of a syndicate who specialised in robbery and kidnapping along Maiduguri Road and Dass area of the state.
The state Command Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Haruna Mohammed, in a statement at the weekend in Bauchi, said that following intelligence report, police detectives from the Bauchi Area Command arrested one Ya'u Abdullahi, a 25-year-old resident of Kimini village in Bauchi who is a member of the syndicate, on Sunday, May 1, 2016.
Mohammed explained that further police investigation led to the arrest of three other members of the syndicate: Gambo Muhammadu (20) of Kimini Village; Jibrin Adamu (40), also of Kimini village and 35-year-old Musa Yusuf of Mararraban Liman Katagun, Bauchi.
Items discovered include One AK 47 Rifle,18 rounds of of 7.62 mm live ammunition, a Peugeot 406 and a Sum of 1.5 Milion Naira cash were recovered from the suspects.
