Armed robbers kill two okada operatives in Kaduna
The incident happened at a filling station in Kaduna on Monday, June 17 Two motorcycle operatives, otherwise known as Okada riders, were reportedly killed by suspected by armed robbers at a filling station in Kaduna early morning on Monday, June 17. The two killed victims were attacked by the Usmania filling station located along Nnamdi Azikwe Express Way Kaduna. The armed robbers took away the okada riders’ phones and money before killing them.
One of the people who survived the attacks, Rayyanu Yahaya DAwakin Tofa, also added that his phone and money were taken away. “We were all sleeping when they came into the filling station with dangerous arms such as knives and guns. “They asked me to hand over my phones and the money in my pocket which I did without saying a word. One of them hit me on the face and ordered me to lay down on the floor. “They also did same to the victims who are commercial operators staying with us. One of them was shot for attempting to run while the other one was stabbed to death for screaming,” he said. It was gathered that the robbers also took away a motorcycle of one of the victims according to the owner of the filling station, Alhaji Abubakar Usman. “I got the information after morning prayer and rushed down to the station where I saw and confirmed they were both death, he said.
