Senate receives Buhari's nominees for NHCN

Nigerian Senate on Tuesday, December 3, received President Muhammadu Buhari's nominees for the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) board.
According to reports, The Senate president, Ahmad Lawan, read a letter from the president on the appointment of chairman and members of the NHCN during the plenary on Tuesday, December 3. The statement read in part: “Pursuant to section 3 sub-section 2 of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) Act 2006, I am pleased to forward for confirmation by the Senate the under-listed names of nominees for the positions of chairman and members of the NAHCON. “These nominees are: Sikiru Hassan, representing Osun, southwest- chairman, Abdullahi Magaji, executive commissioner, operation inspection and licensing, Bauchi northeast, Nura Yakassai executive commissioner policy, personnel management and finance Kano - northwest, Momoh Imonike, executive commissioner planning, research statistics information and library Edo, south-south and Halima Jibril. Part-time members are: Halimat Jibril, Niger state, Abbas Jato, Borno state, Garba Umar, Sokoto state; Ibrahim Ogbonnah Amah, Ebonyi state, Sadiq Oniyesaneyene Musa, Delta state and Akintunde Basirat Olayinka, Ogun state.
