82-year-old bodybuilding grandma overcomes 29-year-old burglar
An 82-year-old, Willie Murphy, a fittingly strong woman, has revealed how she smashed the head of a 29-year-old man who broke into her home in Rochester, New York.
She said that the man broke in around 11 pm Thursday, November 11, despite the fact that she refused to allow him access, Daily Mail reports. The 29-year-old did not know what was awaiting him behind the door, thinking Willie was just a frail old woman who cannot stand up for herself. The strong woman jumped on him, smashed his head, beat him with a broomstick before she handed him over to the police. Though she is only 5 feet tall and weighs 105 lbs, she could well lift a-225-pound weight. “I hear a loud noise, I'm thinking, what the heck was that? The young man is in my home. He broke the door. I picked up the table, and I went to work on him. The table broke. “And when he's down. I’m jumping on him. I grabbed the shampoo. Guess what? He’s still on the ground. In his face, all of it, the whole thing. I got the broom. He’s pulling the broom. I’m hitting him with the broom,” she said. Willie said he was trying to get off her property before she held him down, adding that the young man “picked the wrong house to break into”. It should be noted that the 82-year-old woman was already well known for her amazing one hand pull-ups, fingertip push-ups, among others. In 2014, she was named the Lifter of the Year with her impressive scores for dead lift, power curl and bench press.
“I’m alone and I’m old, but guess what? I’m tough.”
