Tyler perry recounts how disciplining his son made him break down in tears
Parenting can be a tough job. Raising a child is not all flowers and rainbows. Sometimes, children need to be guided rightly especially when they miss the mark.
According to Tyler perry, Who was recently speaking on The Real, revealed that one really hard moment was when he had to discipline his 4-year-old son, Aman. He said: "I will tell you this one moment that was really hard for me. I had to discipline Aman," Perry said. "He was really rude to the nanny and he was in the bathroom arguing with her. I get down to his level and I'm talking to him and I said, 'Listen, what are you doing? You don't do this. This is unacceptable. You're not going to disrespect her, You're not going to disrespect your mom, You're going to do what they tell you to do.'' Perry said he was moved to tears when his son started crying. According to him, he was transported back to his own childhood where he didn't have anyone speak to him as a human being and guide him rightly. He said: "And he's just crying and he goes, 'Yes, papa. Yes,he continued. "But as he's crying and I'm down on his level, I'm trying to hold back my tears. I get up and I leave out of the room and he says, 'Are you OK?' No one talked to me like that when I was a five-year-old," he said. "No one had a conversation with me. No one talked to me like a person. So here I am having an opportunity to heal my 'little boy self' by talking to my son like a person."
