Samson Siasia has appealed the life ban handed to him by the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) in Switzerland. The former Super Eagles handler was banned by FIFA for his involvement in match fixing scandal and he was not given a fair hearing to defend himself for the allegations leveled against him.
The 2008 Olympic sliver and Rio 2014 bronze medalist has submitted his statement of appeal to CAS and is pleading with the court to rescind FIFA's decision until his side of the story has been heard. President of AIPS Africa, Mitchell Obi confirmed it is a fight to finish for the 1994 Nation Cup winner with the Super Eagles. We can only pray that Samson's appeal hit the right cords and he finally gets the fair hearing which never was particularly in a case for which he is being punished simply on 'motivated decision. "Will this appeal give Samson the real strength he needs to beat the Delilah called FIFA Ethics Committee. All eyes are on CAS," remarked Obi.
