Buhari, Oshiomhole, APC's NWC hold emergency meeting in Abuja
The national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, and the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) met with President Muhammadu Buhari in Aso Rock, Abuja on Wednesday, August 7.
According to The Nation, the meeting looked into the outcome of the 2019 general elections and put in place necessary measures that will position the ruling party for progress. Moreover, it was gathered that the meeting ensured that all office holders on the platform of the party will key into President Buhari's Next Level vision. Moreover, some believe that the meeting dealt with the preparation of APC aspirants ahead of the forthcoming Bayelsa and Kogi governorship elections. Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that the governors elected on the platform of the APC had condemned the #RevolutionNow protests called by global coalition for security and democracy in some parts of the country. The progressive governors' forum chairman, who is also governor of Kebbi state, Atiku Bagudu, voiced their position while speaking with State House correspondents in Abuja on Tuesday, August 6.
