Cyclone Idai: Woman gives birth to baby girl atop a mango tree.

            The woman identified simply as Amelia was forced to climb up a mango tree with her two-year-old son and stayed up there for more than two days after finding a "new home" ontop of the tree after her home was swept away, she delivered a baby girl and her newborn daughter was named Sara. The family is now staying at an accommodation centre for the displaced people.  Amelia is now at an accommodation centre. This was in the early stages of heavy storms and flooding in central region of the former Portuguese colony that left over 1000 people dead in Mozambique, Malawi and Zimbabwe. "I had no choice but to climb a tree, I was alone with my son. Then the pain started, and I had no one around to help me. In a few hours, I gave birth to my baby girl Sara, on top of that mango tree. I was completely alone with Sara and my son, she said. The family would later stay clung together on tree branches for two days until humanitarian bodies came through. Other unconfirmed reports indicated the traumatised woman may have lost her husband or could be among those still missing to date as a result of the deadly tropical cyclone.
