Lucas Hernandez completes €80m move to Bayern Munich from Atletico Madrid.
After crashing out of the 2018/19 Champions League, German giants Bayern Munich have bolstered their squad with the reported €80 million club record signing of Lucas Hernandez. Lucas Hernandez who was part of France's 2018 World Cup winning team will join Bayern Munich on July 1 from Spanish side Atletico Madrid. The 23-year-old defender completed a medical over the international break and has signed a five-year contract with the Bundesliga champions. Hernandez will be the 10th French player over the years to have joined Bayern after signing another France World Cup winner Benjamin Pavard in the January transfer window. "Today is a very important day in my football career. Bayern Munich is one of the best clubs in Europe and the world. I am proud to be able to fight for all titles for Bayern in the future.
