Lifetime is reportedly set to create a documentary surrounding the allegations of a sex cult run by R Kelly.
Last year the singer was accused of running a sex cult after several parents came forward to say they hadn't seen their children since they began fraternising with the star, according to BuzzFeed News.
Lifetime, the production company behind the Harry and Meghan movie, is now said to be making a documentary surrounding the allegations, having spoken to the parents who came forward.
Tim Savage, the father of alleged sex slave victim Joycelyn Savage, revealed to TMZ that he is one of three families involved in the documentary.
Michelle Gardner, mother of missing woman Dominique, has allegedly been filmed looking for her daughter for the movie.
TMZ claims they have since been reunited. Angelo, a father who is said to be appearing in the documentary looking for daughter Azriel, has allegedly yet to find her. He claims Azriel moved in with R Kelly when she was 17.
There is also said to be a movie being made by Lifetime as well as the documentary.
The allegations leveled at Kelly say he has been keeping these young women at his homes in Chicago and Atlanta, brainwashing them, making them call him ‘Daddy', taking their mobile phones off them and giving them new ones with restricted use, filming them having sex with him, limiting how many times they are allowed to leave the house and being abusive to them if they break his ‘rules'.
In addition to the parents' accusations, three former employees of R Kelly – Cheryl Mack, Kitti Jones and Asante McGee – back up the reports surrounding R Kelly's ‘cult'.
Mack, who claims to have worked as Kelly's personal assistant for a year and a half from 2013, explained to BuzzFeed: ‘The women in Kelly's entourage initially think, "This is R. Kelly, I'm going to live a lavish lifestyle".
‘No. You have to ask for food. You have to ask to go use the bathroom. … [Kelly] is a master at mind control. … He is a puppet master.'
Kelly has previously denied accusations of impropriety or violence against women.
Reps for R Kelly and Lifetime have been contacted for comment.
