Death toll from India storms now at 97

The death toll of the number of people dead as a result of the strong dust storms that swept across northern India has continued to rise, with official currently pegging the figure at 97.
Parts of northern Uttar Pradesh and western Rajasthan states were destroyed by the winds of more than 130 kilometres (80 miles) per hour, late Wednesday.
T.P. Gupta, Uttar Pradesh relief commissioner's office told AFP, "We can confirm at least 65 deaths from around 40 of the state's 75 districts," while Rajasthan's disaster management chief said 33 people were confirmed dead as the region braces for more high-speed winds.
