It's no longer news that Facebook founder and Chief Executive Officer Mark Zuckerberg is an avid lover of artificial intelligence and the possibilities that can come from it.

This love lust between the social media platform founder and artificial intelligence is further proved by the company's latest investment activity.

According to a report on Reuters News Agency's website, "Facebook Inc plans to open an artificial-intelligence laboratory in Montreal, which will be run by prominent AI researcher Joelle Pineau, two people familiar with the plan said on Friday."

The company will invest $7 million to support AI research at academic institutions in Canada, the Canadian Institute for Advanced Research said in a statement on its website.
