Suicide bomber kills five at bank in Kabul

- Soldiers and Police officers withdrawing their salaries in preparation for the Eid celebrations were the real targets.
A suicide bomber has blown himself up in an Afghan Bank near the U.S. Embassy in the capatal city.
This unfortunate incident occured on Tuesday morning in Kabul.
Authorities have confirmed that this latest attack which took place near the diplomatic quarters in the city claimed 5 lives and leaving 8 injured.
According to Reuters, "The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack, which came as banks were busy with people taking out money ahead of the Muslim Eid al-Adha holiday at the end of the week, saying it had targeted soldiers and police withdrawing their salaries."
The Taliban continue to fight with the aim of restoring Islamic law in the country and drive back foreign forces currently supporting the Government in Kabul.
