ISIS announces new leader for Boko Haram

The Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, ISIS, has announced a new leader for its 'West-African affiliate, Boko Haram.
In the latest edition of its Magazine, ISIS referred to the former Boko Haram Spokesman, Abu Musab al-Barnawi, as the new leader of Boko Haram.
Barnawi supposedly now replaces Abubakar Shekau, who hasn't been seen since August 2015, when he appeared in a propaganda video.
Shekau bacame leader of Boko Haram in 2009, after the death of the group's founder, Mohammad Yusuf.
Yusuf died in police custody.
In recent times, the Nigerian Army has intensified its campaign against Boko Haram, causing most of its members to flee or be killed.
