Just days after the North Korean Dictator, Kim Jong Un, declared war on the US, President Barack Obama has called Kim's bluff by sending supersonic strike bombers to bases near the Asian state.
The B-1B Lancer bombers are being sent to Guam, a US territory in the Pacific Ocean within striking range of Pyongyang, which is the Capital of the helmit state.
The B-1B Lancer bombers will replace the aging fleet of B-52s held on Guam's Andersen Air Force Base.
Obama had also introduced trade sanctions against North Korea last week.
According to a US Airforce Spokesman, "The B-1 units bring a unique perspective and years of repeated combat and operational experience from the Central Command theatre to the Pacific.
"They will provide a significant rapid global strike capability that enables our readiness and commitment to deterrence, offers assurance to our allies, and strengthens regional security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region."
Around 300 US airmen are also being deployed to the base, in response to Kim's increasing aggression in the region.
In addition to declaring war against the USA, the erratic North Korean also recently threatened to reduce Japan "to debris in a moment".
Kim has also issued a slew of bizarre orders lately, including an order to border guards to kill Snakes found around the border, as he believes they (the reptiles) are 'spies' working for his enemies.
