     The refusal of the French Embassy in Nigeria to issue visas to some members of the national team ahead of the two friendly matches against Mali and Luxembourg, is threatening the fixtures.

The Super Eagles will play Mali's Les Aiglons in Rouen, France on Friday, 27th May before engaging the national team of Luxembourg in Luxembourg onWednesday, 1st June.

It was gathered that over 60 per cent of the passports submitted to the embassy on Friday, April 29 by the NFF protocol officials have been returned without visas.

The only home based players invited for the games, Ikechukwu Ezenwa of Sunshine Stars, two members of the technical crew and an administrative staff were denied visas.

The Nigeria Football Federation(NFF) yesterday appealed to the Embassy of France in Nigeria to reconsider their decision and issue visas to the player and officials of the Super Eagles to enable them join other members of the team ahead of two international friendly matches.

"We are appealing to the embassy of France in Nigeria to reconsider its stance and issue visas to these officials. They are going to Europe for very important assignments as the two matches are key to the preparation of the Super Eagles for future engagements,"� NFF General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, said
