Ariana Grande defends fiancé over Manchester bomb joke

Ariana Grande has responded after her comedian fiancé Pete Davidson joked about the Manchester terror attack, saying how she ‘didn't find it funny'.

Davidson joked about the terror attack five months after the incident, which saw 22 people killed at Ariana's concert in Manchester Arena last year.

The comedian joked Ariana must have realised how famous she'd become because ‘Britney Spears didn't have a terrorist attack'.

Davidson's comments began to resurface in recent weeks, with Ariana now responding to criticism over why she's stood by him following the comment.

Taking to Twitter in response to a fan, Ariana wrote: ‘This has been v tough & conflicting on my heart. He uses comedy to help ppl feel better ab how f-ed up things in this world are, we all deal w trauma differently.

‘I of course didn't find it funny. It was months ago & his intention wasn't/is never malicious but it was unfortunate [sic].'

Davidson is an US actor and comedian, most known for being a castmember on Saturday Night Live, along with performing comedy on Adam Devine's House Party and Jimmy Kimmel Live!

His representatives recently defended the joke, telling Metro.co.uk: ‘He is a comedian.

‘No subject is off limits and that includes jokes about his father and 9/11.'
