Coronavirus hits 42 countries, Kills 33 in Africa - WHO

The World Health Organisation, WHO, Regional Office for Africa in Brazzaville, Congo, has disclosed that there are now 1,117 confirmed cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in 42 countries across Africa.

The UN health agency stated this in its regional official twitter account @WHOAFRO on Sunday. According to the WHO, there have been 33 COVID-19-related deaths as at Sunday. 1,117 confirmed #COVID19 cases in #Africa in 42 countries,” WHO said. There have been a total of 33 reported deaths.  Algeria (15), Egypt (8), Burkina Faso (3), Morocco (3), Congo – Kinshasa (1), Gabon (1), Sudan (1), Tunisia (1). 84 recoveries Egypt (39), Algeria (32), Burkina Faso (5), Senegal (5), Côte d’Ivoire (1), Morocco (1), Nigeria (1). It reported by the agency last week that coronavirus had hit 33 countries in Africa.
