Seria A suspended over coronavirus spread

The Serie A has been suspended until next month, the UK Mirror reports. This follows the decision of the Italian Olympic Committee (CONI), to suspend all sporting activity in the country until April 3. It comes a day after Juventus beat Inter Milan 2-0, in a game that was played behind closed doors due to the coronavirus outbreak. Juve are due to host Lyon in the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie next week. Inter are also in the last 16 of the Europa League, where they will take on Getafe. Roma travel to Sevilla for their first leg. While European competition does not fall under the remit of CONI, it remains to be seen whether the games will take place on Italian soil.
