30 reportedly killed as gunmen attack Kaduna villages

Some suspected bandits have reportedly attacked and killed at least 30 people in some villages in Igabi and Giwa local government areas of Kaduna state. Several people are believed to have been injured in the attack According to Channels TV, The affected villages are Kerawa, Rago, Marina, Zariyawa, Hashimawa, Gidan Musa Saidu, and Unguwar Barau. The news outlet, quoting a source from the affected area reported that troops of the Nigerian Army and Air Force attacked the bandits and killed many of them in the process. The bandits were believed to have attacked the villages in revenge over believe that the villagers are providing information to security agencies which resulted in the killing of their members.
