Barcelona announce signing of new striker

Barcelona have announced the signing of 28-year-old forward Martin Braithwaite from Leganes in an emergency deal. The club made the announcement via their official social media page on Wednesday, February 20, bringing a sigh of relief to worried fans about the Spanish champions' lack of attacking options. Braithwaite signed a four and half years deal with the Catalans till June 30, 2024, with a release clause of €300 million. The Dutch star, is believed, will provide Barcelona with a reliable option upfront. Barcelone used the privilege given to spanish clubs to sign players on emergency basis if a club is being faced with severe injury of it's players. Last week it was announced that Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele would be out till the end of the season after under going a surgrey, while Barcelona top striker Luis Suarez had also being earlier ruled out for months due to injury.
