ICPC says N77.04b was recovered in 2019

Rasheedat Okoduwa, the spokesperson for ICPC said the anti-graft agency has been able to recover N77.04 billion worth of stolen assets in 2019. She disclosed this on Thursday, February 6, while briefing journalists on the commission’s achievements for 2019. The ICPC spokesperson noted that the recovery, both in cash and fixed assets, was gotten as a result of operations, interim and final forfeitures, The News Agency of Nigeria reports. Okoduwa breaking down the figure explained that N32.038 billion worth of land, buildings, and vehicles was recovered with N767 million from project tracking, and N41.98 billion from frivolous spending of Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDA).
