NSCDC officer caught on CCTV taking money from a bag (video)

In what could be described as a typical case of the hunter becoming the hunted, an officer of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has become a topic of discussion in the online community.  The moment he stole the money was seen on a video shared on micro blogging platform, Twitter, by a user identified as Gbemi Dennis. According to the caption that accompanied the video post by Dennis, the fully armed officer stole money from a purse and was captured carrying out the act of theft on a CCTV camera. In the video, the NSCDC officer was seen the moment he walked into the store and directly aimed for a bag on the counter. He proceeded by rummaging through it and bringing out an envelope containing some amount of money. However, as he proceeded to leave the area, it appeared he had a change of heart about leaving with all the cash. The officer returned and placed some cash into the bag before he finally took his exit. A background voice who appeared to be a worker within the premises claimed that the bag contained N49,050, but the officer returned N27050, making it a total of N22,000 that was stolen.
