Nigerian football star rated 10th most valuable midfielder in the world

The Super Eagles star has been superb for his Premier League side Leicester City since he arrived in January of 2017. Ndidi has been the EPL's best tackler for the last two seasons - beating Everton and Senegal star Idrissa Gueye to the record on both occasions.

The 23-year-old's stock rose shortly after moving to England and he has been linked with a move to join Liverpool and a few other top clubs in Europe. Meanwhile, Transfermarkt rates the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations' bronze-winning star tenth on the chart with €45 million. His move to the Premier League three years back cost Leicester City about €17 million from Belgian side Genk. However, Manchester City summer Rodri is ranked the most valuable defensive midfielder with a value of around €80 million. He joined the Citizens in August 2019 from Spanish League side Atletico Madrid for €70 million and has scored two goals and one assist in the English topflight this term. Bayern Munich star shares the same value (€80m) with Rodri but sits second on the chart of the most valuable defensive midfielders in the world. Liverpool's Fabinho, Real Madrid's Casemiro and Chelsea superstar Jorginho complete the top five best midfielders in the world.
