Cross River state governor bans his aids from making policy statements on social media

The governor of Cross River state, Ben Ayade, has banned all his political appointees, including commissioners, from making public and policy statements on social media without getting approval from him. 

According to reports, The new directive from the Cross River state governor is contained in a statement signed by his media aide, Christian Ita. It was gathered that Ayade also warned the aides against granting or making both radio and television interviews/appearances without his approval. According to the governor, he said he expects his commissioners to show their hard work on the field and not on social media. He added that only the commissioner of information and his aid on media affairs are saddled with the responsibility of showcasing government work on social media. Governor Ayade warned that any appointee that goes against the directive will be severely sanctioned.
