This is how US, UK encourage corruption in Nigeria - Femi Falana

A senior lawyer, Femi Falana, has accused the United States of America and European countries of sustaining corruption in developing countries through capitalism.
Falana, who is a human rights activist, made the statement when speaking in Lagos at the launch of a book on corruption in Nigeria, the Sun reports. He said the bulk of the stolen money from Nigeria and other developing countries are kept in capitalist countries, like USA, Britain among others. Falana stated that these capitalist countries don’t reject stolen money stashed in their domains because they want to use the money for development. He accused foreign countries of encouraging criminals all over the world to bring their stolen wealth and keep to the detriment of people and generations unborn. The senior lawyer also noted that corruption thrives in Nigeria because the government has failed in its responsibilities. “If we want to fight corruption, we must look at the roots. When you don’t pay workers their salary for months, you are telling the workers to steal. When workers see pensioners, who are not paid and the plight they go through, you are telling them to steal for the rainy day,” Falana said.
