Adoke asks court to strike out name from trial over Malabu scandal

Another twist has emerged in the ongoing trial of Mohammed Adoke, a former attorney-general of the federation and minister of justice in Nigeria.
        The former minister on Monday, asked a Federal Capital Territory(FCT) High Court in Jabi to strike out his name from the ongoing trial. He is accused of alleged abuse of office and money laundering by the the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC). According to Mike Ozekhome, Adoke’s lawyer while addressing the court said, Adoke had filed an application seeking the removal of his name from the charge sheet. He said the application was filed on November 5 but was served on the prosecution by the court bailiff on November 27.
