Russian 'Popoye' shows off reduced biceps after surgery

The 23-year-old MMA fighter known for his huge biceps was said to have taken out about six liters of Vaseline during operation. Pictures of the MMA fighter went viral across most social media around the world after injecting the substance into his veins as reported by Sport Bible. Afterward, his biceps became too big that people likened him to one of the old popular cartoon characters 'Popoye'.

The effect of the Vaseline caused his arms to deteriorate and eventually got paralyzed. It was then he decided to listen to the doctors. Tereshin released a video on his social media page about the surgery after the volume of vaseline had been taken out of his hands. He even jokingly put that he might sell some of the chunks from his body; "These are my treasures...Get yourself a piece, it's 'sale' time." The Russian then went on to tell the camera how different it felt with less of the weight in his arms; "It feels very weird, very unusual. My arm feels lighter...Now I am going through rehab, soon we will proceed with the next surgery." Dr. Melnikov from Sechenov Moscow State Medical University had warned the fighter: "Petroleum jelly saturates the muscles, under skin tissues and the skin itself. All that has to be removed, but we need to keep the vein, nerves and other functions of the limb." I think Kirill did not fully realise the consequences of what he had been doing." The 21-year-old blogger and ex-soldier, who rose to fame because of his huge biceps, was defeated in an embarrassing bout by an opponent nearly twice his age. The Russian bodybuilder with an arm structure of the famous 1929 cartoon sailor was floored barely six minutes into the bout by 43-year-old opponent Oleg Mongol.
