Ahmad Lawan swears in Olujimi days after defeating APC’s Dayo Adeyeye

Senator Biodun Olujimi, on Thursday, November 14, finally took an oath as a member of the National Assembly following her recent victory at the appeal court.

                Alujimi, a member of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), had defeated Dayo Adeyeye, spokesperson of the Senate and member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the tribunal and the appeal court. With the swearing in, Olujimi now takes the place of Adeyeye as senator representing Ekiti South district. It was gathered that the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC), on wednesday, November 13, presented the certificate of return to Olujimi. The electoral body made the presentation after the Senate spokesperson, Dayo Adeyeye, was sacked by the appeal court. In a tweet, the Peoples Democratic Party confirmed that Olujimi had received her certificate of return from INEC in obedience to the judgment of the court of appeal.
