Andre Gomes finally speaks after career threatening injury, makes big statement

Everton midfielder Andre Gomes has expressed his appreciation to all the people who supported him after the career threatening injury he sustained against Tottenham.
            Gomes was left with a fractured dislocation of his right ankle after a challenge from Tottenham forward Son Heung-min. The 26-year-old Portugal international is reported to have undergone surgery and he is now expected to be out of many games. Although Everton are yet to reveal when actually Andre Gomes will be back to action, but there are fears that the Portuguese will be out for the rest of the season. He has however taken to social media to thank those who have offered him word of supports since the match against Spurs. Hi everyone. As you already know everything went well. I'm already at home with my family and I'd like to thank you all for the support, the messages and the positive energy. Thank you,'' he said. ''Following a successful operation yesterday, Andre Gomes has now been discharged from hospital and will continue his rehabilitation under the care of our medical team,'' Everton said in a release. Meanwhile, Everton are currently occupying 17th position on the Premier League standings with 11 points after 11 games played so far.
