13 reportedly killed in Kogi state polytechnic as cult groups clash

The commissioner of police in Kogi, Hakeem Busari, has confirmed the killing of a student of Kogi state Polytechnic, Lokoja, who was suspected to be a top member of a cult group.
        According to reports, The student's death triggered serious chaos and uproar that lead to violence and killing of other students. Although Busari admitted that only three students were killed two of who were Oloruntoba Godwin and Ajileye Richard, eyewitnesses claimed that not less than 13 persons lost their lives. Daily Trust reports that those who sustained serious injuries during the bloody clash have been taken to the nearest hospital. Moreover, the police commissioner said that investigation as to the culprits behind the deadly mayhem were ongoing.
