Panic at Anfield as important Liverpool star ruled out for 6 weeks with knee injury

Current Premier League leaders Liverpool have been hit with a blow as the Reds will now have to play without star defender Joel Matip for the next six weeks due to knee injury.
         Although Joel Matip has been out for some time and only played one game in Liverpool's last five before his spell on the sidelines was extended. The Cameroon international actually sustained the knee injury in Liverpool's Premier League win over Sheffield United, and the initial information was that the issue was not serious. Matip however returned to action in Liverpool's 1-1 Premier League draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford, but missed the Champions League against Genk. And according to the latest report on Evening Standard, Joel Matip's injury is now worse than first feared and he will miss the next ten games for his club. These games include Liverpool's crunch title showdown with Manchester City on November 10 as well as all three remaining Champions League group games. Meanwhile, Liverpool are yet to make an official statement on Matip whom Dejan Lovren has been deputizing for since he got injured. Joel Matip has being impressive for Liverpool since he joined the reds, Though he joined Liverpool on a free transfer, He quickly rose through the ranks to become a key player and first team starter for the team.
