Arsenal Star clashes with fans after being booed during substitution

Arsenal captain Granit Xhaka was on Sunday evening, October 27, involved in a verbal clash with the Gunners' fans after being booed off the pitch at the Emirates stadium.
The Gunners threw away a two-goal lead against their visitors who took away a vital point and Granit Xhaka's performance in the game annoyed the club's faithfuls. And while Unai Emery decided to take Xhaka out of the match for Saka to come in, he appeared not to be happy with the substitution and Arsenal fans stood up to express their annoyance. Fans rose up at the Emirates stadium and booed the Switzerland international while he was leaving the pitch. Xhaka then cupped his hand to his ear and appeared to mouth a response to the jeers before taking his shirt off and heading straight down the tunnel. He also refused to have an hand shakes with Arsenal manager Unai Emery in which fans urged the manager not to make him captain again. Gunners boss Unai Emery was quick to condemn his skipper although he refused to say if he will strip him of the captaincy. The Spanish boss said: “Xhaka was wrong and now we need to stay calm and speak to him inside the club about that reaction. Xhaka since he got the captaincy band, has remained unsettled in the club, as it seems that a majority of Arsenal fans are not happy with the decision of coach Unai Emery making him captain.
