Murder of female naval commander: How and why I did it - Suspect gives chilling confession

The suspected killer of Oluyemisi Ogundana, commandant of Command Secondary School at the Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC), Jaji, Kaduna, Bernand Simon, has disclosed how he carried out the atrocious act.
            Simon gave the confession on Wednesday, October 9 as he was being paraded alongside 50 other suspects by the Kaduna state police commissioner, Ali Janga, The Cable reports. Legit.ng gathers that the commissioner stated that the deceased had been raped to death by Simon. However, the suspect denied raping Ogundana to death. Simon, 36, said he hit the naval commander on her head with an iron rod after sneaking into her house at the Jaji Military Cantonment. When asked why he killed Ogundana, he said: “I killed her because she was cheating us in the school. I am a teacher in the school and she was cheating us as staff under her. I killed her to set the whole staff of the school free from her cheats. “There are some financial benefit she deprived us of. She denied me in particular of over N100,000. That is why I killed her to set myself and other staff free from her.” Simon confessed to throwing Ogundana’s mutilated body into a shallow well and expressed regret for his action. Ogundana’s dismembered body had been packed into a sack and thrown into a shallow well at a village close to the cantonment after she was killed three weeks ago.
