Burna Boy, Teni Lead Nomination's List as Headies release 2019 nominee list (Full List)

Iconic Nigerian singers, Burna Boy, Teni and Adekunle Gold top list of nominees for the 2019 Headies’ Award, a ceremony that recognizes outstanding achievements in the Nigerian music industry.
The organizers on Tuesday released the list of the 13th music award with this year’s edition themed ‘The Power of A Dream’. According to the organizer, the names were released after shortlisting of thousands of entries submitted in the year under review (from January 2018 – June 2019). Rema, Burna Boy, Joeboy and Fireboy will battle for viewers choice award this year alongside song of the year category. We hope this year won't be a repeat of what happened in the 2015 award night When Olamide clashed with Don Jazzy over the next rated category award given to Rekado Banks, an artist under Don Jazzy's record label ahead of lil kesh who was under Olamide's record label. This year a repeat of such scenario is happening as two artists from both Don jazzy and Olamide are both nominated for the next rated awards in the person of Rema and Fireboy DML who have both had massive successes with their individual songs.

Here is a list of the nominees:
