Reactions trail discovery of Patience Jonathan's 'garden' in Canadian hospital

Former first lady Patience Jonathan has been under probe by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for alleged fraud and money laundering since the beginning of the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration.
Recently, Nigeria’s Supreme Court affirmed the interim forfeiture of N2.4 billion allegedly traced to her. The interim forfeiture order was earlier granted by a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos. This was the second time the former first lady would forfeit huge sums in just days following the ruling of the Supreme Court. As Ms Jonathan's probe by the EFCC continues, a Nigerian living in Canada, Tunde Omotoye, has discovered a garden put up in honour of the former first lady in a Canadian hospital. In a Twitter post on Tuesday, September 17, Omotoye said "Patience Jonathan has a 'garden' put up in her honour." Omotoye added that he checked and found that "one must be a huge donor..to get that kind of recognition" (if you know what I mean)," he tweeted. Omotoye's tweet has caused reactions from many Nigerians on the social media platform, with many accusing the former first lady of diverting funds that can fix Nigeria's health sector to pursue personal honour in Canada.
