Premier League set release date for 2019-20 season matches

The Premier League will officially commence on August and close in May 2020. The 2019-20 schedule season will be released on Thursday, June 13.
        The new Premier League season will for the first time observe winter break mid-way. The Premier League season ended in the past month as Manchester City retained the title with the tightest of margins ahead of rivals Liverpool. The Reds and Chelsea won the Champions League and Europa League competitions respectively in the all-English finals in both tournaments. Now the date for the 38 round of matches for the 2019-20 season has been fixed for Thursday, June 15. All the big derbies, the Boxing Day fixtures and the matches for the final day in the fully packed schedule for 380 matches in the new season will be known real soon. The 2019-20 season will begin on Saturday, August 10, but the first fixture could be played on Friday, August 9. Then the Premier League season will officially end on Sunday, May 17, 2020 and it will be the first time the winter break will be included during the mid-season break. Though the format is different from other top leagues in Europe as the break is spread out for each team and is not a removal of all fixtures.
