Cross River govt gives ex-political appointees ultimatum to return vehicles

The Cross River State Government has ordered all former commissioners, special advisers, special assistants and other former appointees of the state government, including chairmen and members of commissions. Others ordered to return vehicles in their possessions are: boards, agencies, governing councils and Local Governments Security Council chairmen, who were issued official vehicles. They are to return same to the office of the Chief of Staff to the Governor within 78 hours. The order was contained in a press release signed by Hon. Martins Orim, Chief of Staff to the Governor and made available to ournalists on Monday. The affected persons are advised to promptly comply with the directive to avoid embarrassment by law enforcement agents,” Orim stated.
